Commercial Shipping Rates — Why Our Labels Cost Less
You may see lower prices here than at a carrier’s retail counter or on some marketplaces. This page explains how commercial shipping rates work on Instant Shipping Labels, what goes into the price you see, and how single labels and bulk orders use the same underlying postage—so you can ship with USPS, UPS, FedEx, or Canada Post without a subscription or negotiated contract of your own.
We use commercial pricing
We purchase postage through our carrier agreements at commercial (discounted) rates and pass those rates to you. We don’t add a percentage markup on the base postage. What you see for USPS, UPS, FedEx, or Canada Post is the same commercial pricing we pay, plus a small flat service fee per label so we can run the platform.
What actually moves the rate
Carriers calculate retail and commercial prices from the same inputs: package weight, dimensions (or predefined package type), origin and destination (distance and zone), and the service level you pick—ground versus expedited, domestic versus international, and so on. Accurate weight and measurements help you avoid surprises after shipment. If you are unsure which service fits, use our compare shipping rates flow to line up options side by side before you pay.
No subscription or hidden fees
There’s no monthly fee, no minimum volume, and no account required. You pay per label. Volume discounts apply when you create multiple labels in one order (e.g. 5+), which fits sellers and small businesses who ship in batches. For large batches from a spreadsheet, CSV batch import applies additional automatic discounts by label count; see the CSV import guide for column requirements and templates.
International and customs
Cross-border shipments use the same idea—commercial carrier rates—but may require customs information, accurate contents description, and HS or tariff details depending on the lane. Our international shipping guide covers declarations, weights, and common pitfalls so your label purchase matches what carriers expect at the border.
Transparent total
Before you pay, you see the full cost: postage plus our service fee. No surprise add-ons. You can compare carriers and service levels on the same form and choose the option that fits your budget and delivery needs.
